(Poovi’s internship with Aloe Mind ends on 12 October 2026)
Poovi is a trainee clinical psychologist who works with a diverse range of clients, including adults, adolescents, children, couples, students, the elderly, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals from various cultural and international backgrounds. She believes that no background or identity should ever be a barrier to seeking therapy. Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, identity confusion, personality disorders, ADHD, autism, trauma, chronic work stress, relationship difficulties, attachment-related concerns, childhood trauma, friendship challenges and even supportive therapy.
Poovi has gained experience working in multiple settings, including orphanages and homes for children and teenagers, a university on-campus mental health centre, and with government officers through Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam.
Poovi is deeply passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard and understood. She believes that emotional struggles are often invisible and not always acknowledged, and that facing them alone can be overwhelming. Guided by empathy and compassion, she strives to be a supportive presence, a bridge to well-being, helping individuals navigate the complexities of their inner world, build resilience, and move toward healing and growth
In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, watching movies and indulging in art.
