Get to know Diveena

Diveena is a registered clinical psychologist with experience supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, suicidal ideation, interpersonal struggles, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder. She has worked with a wide range of clients, including children, teenagers, university students, adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

She firmly believes that each person carries untapped strengths and resilience, ready to fuel personal growth and navigate life’s challenges. Her work is grounded in helping individuals discover and nurture these inner resources in a way that aligns with their values. In her sessions, clients can expect a compassionate and collaborative space to explore, heal, and grow. Her therapeutic style draws from a range of modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), as well as Narrative Therapy and expressive arts approaches. Diveena adapts her work to meet the unique needs of each individual she supports. Diveena takes a collaborative and client-centered approach, working alongside individuals to explore their experiences, clarify their values, and strengthen their inner resources. She supports clients in navigating challenges with compassion and curiosity, helping them move toward meaningful change and a greater sense of well-being.

Diveena is Malaysian and Papua New Guinean (PNG). She grew up in PNG before moving to Malaysia, where she earned her Master in Clinical Psychology from Taylor’s University and a BSc (Hons.) in Psychology from HELP University.

She currently resides in Malaysia and conducts her sessions in English. In her free time, she enjoys reading about the latest developments in psychology and experimenting with nourishing recipes. She finds joy in tending to her indoor plants, staying active with nature walks and swimming.
