Get to know Prithika
Prithika is a registered clinical psychologist with experience in university, community and social enterprise mental health settings. She has worked primarily with adults of all ages from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, including refugee and migrant communities, supporting individuals with challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, grief, ADHD, emotional regulation, and concerns surrounding identity, life direction, and interpersonal relationships.
Prithika believes that life can sometimes be complicated, difficult and messy but learning to accept and embrace ourselves with compassion can help make the journey a little more manageable.
While working primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) frameworks, Prithika also integrates approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) according to each client’s unique needs and goals.
Prithika sees therapy as a team effort of working together to figure out the challenges and finding a way forward. She believes therapy looks different for different people, but at its core, it’s a space where you feel understood, empowered, and perhaps a little less alone in figuring life out.
Outside of work, Prithika enjoys baking, spending time with her pets and getting lost in a good mystery novel.
