Get to know Syndy
Syndy graduated with a double Masters’ degree in Mental Health Research and Practice, and Clinical Psychology.
She provides support to individuals navigating a wide range of mental health and behavioural challenges in both public and private mental health settings for the past 3 years. Her experience spans across mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), personality disorders, stress, trauma, grief, relationship and family issues. She has most experience working with both adolescents and adults.
Syndy works collaboratively with her clients to help them reconnect with what matters most and find ways to move forward with greater clarity and confidence. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a cognitive-based approach that helps one understand and change unhelpful thought patterns to cope with difficult thoughts and emotions. On top of that, she also adapts aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a values-based approach that empowers individuals to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives, even in the face of emotional struggles.
Syndy is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to grow. She believes that giving a helping hand and supportive environment, anyone can readily thrive and evolve to be the best versions of themselves.
Syndy is an avid badminton player who enjoys all forms of sporting and physical activities. She also enjoys watching anime and playing video games.
